MSCC COVID-19 Updates:

Update: 04/18/2020

MSCC’s Autocross #1 has been postponed, with a future date to be determined, due to the recent update on the Coronavirus from the Governor’s office as well as guidance from the CDC and health officials.  The current registration will be moved into a holding pattern until further notice.  You may keep your reservation or cancel thru MotorsportReg without a fee.  Membership dues are processed as usual and status retained for future registrations.  Feel free to email the autocross steward at with questions on this event.

Further clarification is required for the remaining autocross events this season.  The current intent is to hold those events as scheduled unless not feasible to do so.  We will give as much notice in advance of the event as we can.

In W2W racing news the Midwestern Council has made some recent changes to the schedule for this season as well.  The revised schedule for the Memorial Day weekend events at Blackhawk Farms is as follows:

MSCC COVID-19 Updates:

Update: 03/30/2020

As our country faces historic challenges in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic, there have been many event cancellations.  MSCC's number one priority is the safety of our members, participants, volunteers, and spectators.

In following the guidelines of the CDC, health officials, and both federal and local government orders, MSCC unfortunately has to announce another event cancellation:

  1. The April 24th-25th Midwestern Council W2W and HSAX drivers schools at Blackhawk Farms have been cancelled.
  2. The April 26th Midwestern Council season opening Sprint Races at Blackhawk Farms have also been cancelled.

The Midwestern Council is actively working with the clubs and race tracks to reschedule these events and allow for a full schedule of racing this season.  At this time there are no other cancellations planned, but the situation will be monitored closely and event updates will be provided as soon as possible.  MSCC, Midwestern Council, and all of the other council clubs will be working hard to put on the best racing season possible for everyone.

MSCC hopes that all of our members and their families will stay safe and healthy during these difficult times and we look forward to seeing everyone at the start of the season.

Update: 03/21/2020

MSCC is making every effort to stay current with the COVID-19 developments.  The safety of all MSCC members, participants, staff and spectators at our events is always our highest priority. MSCC will continue to monitor all local, state and federal recommendations and orders regarding social gatherings and will adjust our event plans accordingly.

At this time it should come as no surprise that our March 29 Trivia Night is now postponed due to the local and state-wide Covid-19 precautions.  Once a new date has been selected, we will update our events calendar accordingly.

As of today all other currently scheduled MSCC events are still being planned as scheduled.  Please continue to monitor our website for possible updates on future events as circumstances develop. Midwestern Council is in frequent contact with Illinois authorities and Blackhawk Farms in regards to the upcoming Wheel to Wheel racing events and is posting updates on their website as well (www.mcscc.org).

We appreciate your interest, patience, and understanding in these trying times and we hope this situation improves quickly so we can all enjoy our favorite season (race season of course!).
