DESCRIPTION:**SPECIAL EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT** \nThe Midwestern Council is partnering with IMSA and Road America to host a special opportunity for Spec Miata racers to race on the big stage! \n \nThe Race to Save the Children Spec Miata Charity event is a collaboration between the sanctioning body Midwestern Council\, IMSA\, and Road America. \nWhile Spec Miata racers will compete in front of a large crowd on Sunday\, the event schedule for the weekend is busy\, resulting in limited track time. Spec Miata racers are able to enter the test day on Thursday\, July 30 as well as participate in 30-minute qualifying and a 60-minute race on Sunday\, August 2. \nEvent Schedule Summary: \n\nThursday is an all day test day and is open to any racer with a competition license and a race car that meets all competition safety requirements.  We will be on track 8:45 to about 4:30. DESCRIPTION:Midwestern Council of Sports Car Clubs is calling all members\, racers and volunteers for our July 2020 Midwestern Council Driver’s School at Blackhawk Farms Raceway. This school will include sessions for W-W Closed-wheel cars ONLY. You will spend the entire day either on the track or receiving constant feedback from experienced instructors. W-W students will receive an MC (MCSCC) 2020 Novice Competition License upon successful completion\, and can sign up for the race on Sunday! \nThe Wheel-to-Wheel Drivers School has two parts. Friday Night is a required classroom session with a written quiz at the end of the night. This classroom session provides drivers all the information that they will need the following day to pass the school. This will cover flags\, passing\, basic cornering techniques and much more! Then please be at the track early AM on Saturday and prepared for a long but rewarding day! \nThe 2020 July Driver’s School is just around the corner! Just take the tunnel from the Paddock under the track near the start/finish line\, turn right\, walk through the Tower parking lot\, go through the Race Control door\, and ask for Gail. \nRace staffers get free lunches both day\, free Saturday BBQ dinner and beverages and free camping Friday and Saturday nights – so come on out for the second best seat in the house!
