DESCRIPTION:Looking to start Autocrossing?  MSCC is hosting a driver’s school!  The school will have a maximum of 30 students to help ensure that everyone gets plenty of seat time and plenty of time with the instructors. \nNo need to worry if you haven’t participated in an Autocross event. Our school will be the perfect first event for you.  We will cover topics such as a typical day’s schedule\, what tech inspection will mean for you and your car\, what competition class your car will be in\, and of course we will introduce you to the fundamentals of car control via class room talk as well as on track.  Be sure to check out our website for detailed information to get you into the action. \nThis school is geared towards new autocrossers.  Students with more than 3 autocrosses should contact us to determine eligibility.  Registrants with autocross experience may be waitlisted at the Steward’s discretion. \nIf you register and cannot attend\, please cancel your online reservation before registrations closes to get a full refund and open up the spot for the next person on the waitlist (no fee to cancel). \nWaitlist will be used as first come\, first served\, if spaces become available. \n$35 Student Fee (limited to 30 entrants). DESCRIPTION:**SPECIAL EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT** \nThe Midwestern Council is partnering with IMSA and Road America to host a special opportunity for Spec Miata racers to race on the big stage! \n \nThe Race to Save the Children Spec Miata Charity event is a collaboration between the sanctioning body Midwestern Council\, IMSA\, and Road America. \nWhile Spec Miata racers will compete in front of a large crowd on Sunday\, the event schedule for the weekend is busy\, resulting in limited track time. Spec Miata racers are able to enter the test day on Thursday\, July 30 as well as participate in 30-minute qualifying and a 60-minute race on Sunday\, August 2. \nEvent Schedule Summary: \n\nThursday is an all day test day and is open to any racer with a competition license and a race car that meets all competition safety requirements.  We will be on track 8:45 to about 4:30. DESCRIPTION:Midwestern Council of Sports Car Clubs is calling all members\, racers and volunteers for our July 2020 Midwestern Council Driver’s School at Blackhawk Farms Raceway. This school will include sessions for W-W Closed-wheel cars ONLY. You will spend the entire day either on the track or receiving constant feedback from experienced instructors. W-W students will receive an MC (MCSCC) 2020 Novice Competition License upon successful completion\, and can sign up for the race on Sunday! \nThe Wheel-to-Wheel Drivers School has two parts. Friday Night is a required classroom session with a written quiz at the end of the night. This classroom session provides drivers all the information that they will need the following day to pass the school. This will cover flags\, passing\, basic cornering techniques and much more! DESCRIPTION:Ready for more autocross action!!  The second MSCC points event of the 2020 season will be hosted at Madison International Speedway (MIS).  MIS is always a fun venue that drivers of all vehicle types enjoy! \nExperienced and novice drivers are welcome! Many of our experienced Autocrossers are always willing to ride along and give coaching advice to anyone looking for tips and pointers. \nBe sure to check out the Autocross page here on the MSCC website for detailed information on how you can get into the action – especially the RULEBOOK \n**FOR 2020 MSCC will be ONLINE REGISTRATION ONLY at www.motorsportreg.com!**\n**Important notes about registration and cost**\nEarly online registration (ends at 11:59pm the day before the event) cost is $35 for members and $45 for non members. \nOnline registration at 12:00am (midnight) or later on the day of the event will be $40 for members and $50 for non-members. \nOnline registration closes at 9am on the day of the event. \nCheck in the day of the event is open from 8:00am – 9:30am \nTech Inspection is open from 8:15am – 9:45am the day of the event. \nFirst car off the line @ 11:30am due to local town Ordinances

DESCRIPTION:**Update – 06/17/2020 – Canceled** \nUnfortunately due to the limited amount of time left on the calendar for the year and venue openings\, MSCC will have to cancel the Autocross School this year.  We are all very sad that we have to cancel the school this year as we really enjoy putting the school on for people.  We definitely plan to put a school on the schedule again for the 2021 season. \nIf you already registered for the original school date and were charged for it you will be refunded your full entry fee. \nFor the novice autocrossers\, please do not hesitate to sign up for a regular autocross event.  We have a lot of helpful members that will be glad to offer advice and help you get started this year. \nIf you have any questions regarding the school cancelation for the season please contact Kyle Hemp at autoxsteward@madisonsportscarclub.com. \nThank you for your understanding during these difficult times.
