SUMMARY:Volunteer for a Great Cause at the Blackhawk Classic VSCDA Races
DESCRIPTION:A call to all MCSS members!  Midwestern Council is once again staffing the Blackhawk Vintage Classic weekend for VSCDA\, the Vintage Sports Car Drivers Association\, on Friday June 14 to Sunday June 16. It takes a lot of race staffers to grid\, score and flag 23 races over three days! \nPlus\, this year VSCDA is holding the Porasik & Yde Wealth Management Enduro benefitting the Disabled American Veterans organization\, a Formula Ford Birthday Race\, a spec Renault/Spec Ford welcome race\, the Trans Am B Sedan series\, the Sprite Midget race series\, the reverse handicap Dad’s Day Scramble and some of the very best Vintage Formula Vee racing on the planet. The VSCDA Group 1 cars are always a treat on and off the track\, with Bugattis\, Indy racers\, pre-war MGs and everything in between up close and personal\, Blackhawk Farms style. \nAll staffers are included in VSCDA’s welcome pizza/ice cream social on Friday and Saturday dinner by Rockford IL’s 4 star restaurant Franchesco’s\, you’ll never want to leave the track. \nBesides seeing an incredible variety of great cars at full chat\, there are a number of other incentives:\n– Free lunch for all staff – and Blackhawk has really upgraded their food the last few years\n– Free camping as always – the weather steward assures us a beautiful weekend in store\n– The smell of Castrol and racing gas in the morning\n– Great experience for an MC Novice license-holder – from the other side of the guard rail \nPlease e-mail Gary Schneider at membership@madisonsportscarclub.com if you think you can spare a day (or two or three) for a worthy cause.
