Dyno Runs on Nov 1!
After a great racing season, things are finally winding down. With that, we find ourselves finally able to squeeze in that dyno day we have been talking about. It will take place during the next scheduled MSCC meeting on November 1st. We will start the dyno pulls at 5:30 P.M. at Khaos Power Factory on the east side of madison, 4440 Robertson Rd. Madison, WI 53717 (formerly Midwest Hybrid llc.) and will hold the regular MSCC meeting at the shop after the pulls are done. This is an all new facility!
The Dyno is a Mustang MD1100SE. With this unit they are able to tune N/A, F/I, boosted, and sprayed cars on many platforms to perfection with their eddy current load cell. They are able to accurately measure up to 3000 WHP, (1500 loaded whp) and from 0 up to 250 MPH. They also have every option/attachment available, many more than the other guys in town (dynojet/dyno dynamics) obdIIa & b hookup, datalogging, inductive rpm pickup, obd port splitter, timing tree, vehicle lookup software from 1973 to current, wideband, all current emmisions traces, etc. No one else in the area even comes close.
We are looking for 3 people who would like to dyno their cars that evening (unlike other shops in town they recommend you drive your own car on the dyno). It will cost $50 for (1/2 hour to 45 minutes of actual strapped down time on the dyno) hp/tq, timed distance of any kind eg. 1/8, 1/4, 1/2mile, 0-60,0-100, top speed, etc. We must limit it to 3 cars as this will allow us to hold the monthly meeting after, and give us a good idea of how long it should take to switch vehicles should we decide to do a full Dyno Day. It is a first come first serve basis for the people interested. If you do sign up, please make sure you can make it.
Please contact Chris @ wasnme42@hotmail.com. I will sign up the first 3 people whom are positive they can make it; along with one alternate should somebody cancel at the last minute.
You can check out the shop at www.midwesthybrid.com THERE WILL BE A NEW WEBSITE TOMORROW, but the old one will forward people to the new one.
