Guest Speaker at May Meeting

MSCC welcomes Lorna Folk of Midwest HANS to our May membership meeting. Lorna is a midewest distributor for HANS devices and an expert in driver safety systems. She will be giving a presentation on the aspects of cockpit safety, from belts to nets and then diving head first (pun intended) into head and neck restraints.
Lorna's no stranger to the racing world, having raced stock cars from 1987 to 1990 at Wilmont Speedway, resulting in the title of "highest finishing woman in a major event." Since 1990 she has worked on several race teams and as an official for GrandAm. She now devotes much of her time to her profession as a nurse working with spinal cord injuries and HANS. She has been working with Jim Downing and Bob Hubbard going on 3 years, and was the first person they sent out into the field to educate
people about this particular injury. She personally looks after the IRL, Arca, MARS, ASL and Big 8; as well as the 7 connecting states to Wisconsin.
Join us at our membership meeting beginning at 7:30 PM at Bowl-A-Vard Lanes on May 5. We'll have a short business meeting followed by Lorna's presentation.
