Midwestern Council of Sports Car Clubs
Acting as a coordinating and regulating body, Midwestern Council sanctions between 10 and 14 weekend events annually, each sponsored by one of the nine individual clubs it comprises. All cars and drivers participating in events sanctioned by the Council must meet our strict regulations for safety and race worthiness. These safety requirements, thorough pre-race tech inspections, extensive trackside safety equipment, and combined with the Council's Drivers' School program, produce one of the finest safety records in motorsports today.
Midwestern Council of Sports Car Clubs is an offshoot of the Midwestern Centre of the Overseas MG Car Club. In 1958, that group expanded to include non-MG clubs and the Midwestern Council was born. Every season since then has seen a full season of sports car competition, reaching from Wilmot, Lynndale, Meadowdale and State Fair Park to our current schedule at Blackhawk Farms, Road America, GingerMan and Grattan Raceways.
